SUMMARY:
We include in these selections all kind of practise information on snow: ski resorts, transport, accommodation in hostels and refuges, as well as associations and entities organising courses or excursions.
1. Accommodation
Refuges and shelters in Aragon. A new website depending on the Aragonese Federation of Mountaneering, with full information and online booking.

Aragonese Network of Youth Hostels. www.alberguesdearagon.com Bookings 902 088 905. In order to use the hostels included in this network (marked with a R in the list) is necessary to have the youth hostels card. Prices can vary according to the age and type: young, from 14 to 29 years, 5 ?; adults, from 30 years on, 12?; group card (minimum of 10 people younger than 30), 15?; and family, 24?.
Aragon Reservations Head Office (Central de Reservas de Aragón). t offers hotels, hostels, apartments and rural houses in the whole region. Bookings: 902 088 905.
2. Entitites: Aramón and ENA
Aramón (society formed by Aragon Government and Ibercaja saving bank). It groupes five ski resorts: Cerler, Formigal and Panticosa on Huesca Pyrenees; and Javalambre and Valdelinares in the Teruel´s Iberian Mountain Range. There are ticket offices at Plaza de Aragón (open Monday to Friday, from 10 to 14 and from 17 to 21,30; Saturdays, only in the morning). Forfaits for 1 to 20 non-consecutive days for every station, a pass for the five stations or for the five plus Astún and Candanchú can be bought there. Thanks to the collaboration of these two stations, forfaits or season passes for groups can be bought, allowing users to have access to both resorts. There is also a bus linking both areas and the passes can be bought and recharge on the website.

Aragon Nordic Areas (ENA ? Espacios Nórdicos de Aragón). This is a new association of Nordic ski stations. In order to promote this activity, a website has been created to consult snow conditions, meteorology and the state of the trails. It also exists a joint forfait for all of them, sold in any station: Linza, Gabardito, Lizara, Candanchú, Fanlo, Pineta, Llanos del Hospital, and la Muela de San Juan in Teruel.

Departures from Estación Central (Avda. de Navarra, 80), stop at Averly (at the crossroad between Pº Mª Agustín with Avda. Clave) and Actur commuting station (roundabout between María Zambrano, Gertrudis Gómez de Avellaneda and Valle de Broto). Routes to the following places of Huesca Pyrenees:
- Benasque. Daily service (except Christmas and New Year´s Day) with departures from Zaragoza at 9,30 and 15 h (only working days), and return at 6,30 (working days) at 15 h (daily except Christmas and New Year´s Day). Fare: 18,05 ?.
- Candanchú and Astún. Departures working Fridays at 17 h, arrival to Astún at 20,20h; and Saturdays and Sundays at 11 h, arrival at Astún at 14,20 h. Fare: 16,60 ? to Candanchú, and 16,85 to Astún. Return, Fridays at 10,15 h from Astún, and 10,20 from Candanchú, arriving at Zaragoza at 13,25 ; and Sundays at 16,15 from Astún, and 16,20 from Candanchú, arriving at Zaragoza around 19,25.
- Formigal. Special service departing working Fridays as 17 h and arrival at 20,15 h. Return Sundays at 17,15 with arrival at Zaragoza at 20,30 h. Fare: 16,75 ?.
- Jaca. From Monday to Saturday (working days), from 6,30, and from 8,30 every day except Christmas day. Last daily return from Jaca at 19 h with arrival at Zaragoza at 21,20 h. Fare: 13,30 ?.
- Jaca-Formigal sky resort. Departure from Jaca at 13 h and 17,30 h, from Monday to Friday; at 10,30 h and 17,30 h Saturdays, and 10,30 h on Sunday and public holidays. Arrival at Formigal in an hour and a half. Stops at Sabiñánigo, Biescas, Panticosa, Escarrilla and Sallent de Gállego. - Formigal. Daily transport service plus ski lift. Departure at 7 h from Paseo Mª Agustín, 12-14 (next to Pablo Gargallo Museum) and arrival at 9 h. Return at 17 h and arrival at Zaragoza at 19 h. Price working days, including Saturdays, 43 ?; Sundays and holidays, 60 ?, week-end special price, 2 ski lifts plus bus, 90 ?. In December, only weekends.
- Panticosa. Service every Wednesday. Departure at 7 h from Paseo Mª Agustín, 12-14 (next to Pablo Gargallo Museum), with stop at Huesca and arrival at 9 h. Return at 17 h. Fare: 41 ?, including travel, forfait, equipment rent and a menu.

5. Discounts and assurance
You can obtain cheaper season passes for the ski resorts with the Youth Card in ski and mountain clubs or paying with these cards:
- Aramón´s Card from Ibercaja: Valid for some or every resort of Aragón group (Cerler, Formigal, Panticosa, Javalambre and Valdelinares). There are three types, golden, red, and green, with different discounts (till a 30% in the forfait). There are more discounts with this card and Ibercaja Youth Card. You can ask for it with or without health assurance.

When health assistance is not included in the pass, you can contract it, depending on the resort, for about 40 ? for the whole season or 3 ? for single days.Insurance includes trail rescue, health assistance in the resort and transfer to the nearest hospital. You are also entitled to insurance if you are affiliated to the Winter Sports Federation.
