Pabellón Puente

Inspired by the gladiolus flower, it was designed by prestigious architect by Zaha Hadid. Used as an entrance and the main pavilion for Expo Zaragoza 2008, it has remained in the city as an emblem of innovation and spectacular architecture. One end of the flower`s stem rests on one bank of the river while the other, split into three branches, rests on the other bank. A covered structure, the outer skin is inspired by the image of shark scales. Looking at the bridge takes you back to your childhood and science fiction fuelled imaginations.

Pasarela del Voluntariado

Puente del Tercer Milenio

Built in 2008 and designed by the Huescan arquitect J.J. Arenas de Pablo, it allows access from the Meandro de Ranillas area to the neighbourhoods around Delicias Station. Its most remarkable feature, visually speaking, is its bowstring arch, with stands at 270 metres, the longest in the world. Its design and structural aesthetics make it a flagship for the new millennium.

Puente de Piedra

A must. Intimately bound up with the history of the River Ebro and the Basílica del Pilar, of which the bridge offers spectacular views, particularly at sunset. Also known as the Puente de los Leones, due to the four bronze statues which symbolise the city, it is the oldest bridge over the largest river in Spain in terms of volume.

Puente de Santiago

A very busy bridge used for traffic into the centre from the north of the city. You can see it from the top floor of the Torreón de la Zuda, from where you can enjoy stunning views of the following monumental ensemble: Puente de Santiago, River Ebro, El Pilar, leaning tower of San Juan de los Panetes, Romans walls and Central Market.

Puente de la Almozara

The Puente de la Almozara is a bridge carrying cars, pedestrians and bicycles between the Plaza de Europa and the Avenida de Ranillas, coming out around Calle Valle de Broto. It was formerly a railway bridge, which explains the inclusion of a sculpture of a locomotive.

Puente del Pilar

Known colloquially amongst locals as the ``Iron Bridge``, it was built in the late 19th century and remodelled by Javier Manterola in 1991. With its colourful metal arches and a spacious central area for pedestrians, it is one of the most walked-across bridges in the city.

La Unión

Engineer Antonio Torroja designed this curious work, making it the only bridge in the city that doesn`t rest on the banks of the river. The bridge joins together the Camino de las Torres and Marqués de la Cadena and features two separate structures for each direction of traffic.

Manuel Giménez

This modern work by Javier Manterola features a huge arch stretching across the length of structure. The bridge connects Las Fuentes with Vadorrey, completing the Z-30 ring road. It was inaugurated in 2002 in honour of the Manuel Giménez, and also includes a monument to this Aragonese politician.
