DESARROLLO
Each session will be divided as follows:
18.30-19.00 Cultural snapshots
19.00-19.30Grammar attack!
19.30-20.30Watch, Listen, Discuss (WLD)
20.30-21.00Free talk
NOTE: The teacher will accompany the course segments with PPTs, music and video clips and any other material suitable for the session’s purpose. This material is the teacher’s property and will be available for the public ONLY during the weekly session.
Each session, the teacher will expect the following from the attendees:
1.“Cultural snapshots” Segment:
A) Participants are expected to (at least) have googled the main topic of each session (in English language) and know several facts about it as well as some related-vocabulary.
B) Retain some interesting information on the topic so it can be shared in class.
2.“Grammar attack!” Segment:
A) The teacher suggests those participants interested in theoretical issues to take notes and ask for more individual work at the end of the session. o
B) Grammar will be taught using music and/or film video clips.
3.“WLD” Segment:
A) Web pages, blog letters, TV shows, movies or songs fragments will be used as real-life side-examples of the chosen topic. Participants are expected to I.recognize spoken text II.fill in the text’s blanks III.repeat IV.read aloud parts of this material.
B) Attendees are strongly suggested to involve in lively conversation with each other.
4.Free talk Segment:
Participants are given the opportunity to ask additional questions, clear previous doubts or keep up being engaged in conversation.
