Monumento a Goya

This monument is the work of the Catalonian sculptor Federico Marés, and it was conceived as a picturesque statue of two couples in 18th century attire inspired by Goya-style subjects. The figure of Goya, with his legs crossed, holding a palette and paintbrush, presides over the work from a tall, tiered pedestal.
