Two unique jewels in the heart of the city
Zaragoza Tourism launches a program of guided tours to discover two of the city's least known Mudejar jewels: the Monastery of Canonesas del Santo Sepulcro and the Parroquieta de la Seo.
These are two unique buildings located in the heart of Zaragoza and with many elements in common, since they had the same promoters and the same artists worked on them.
The Monastery of Canonesses of the Holy Sepulcher is the only Mudejar-style convent building that has survived completely to this day. It has been inhabited for 700 years and is a living building; In fact, it is the only one of this order existing in Spain and is listed as an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC).
The Parroquieta de la Seo or chapel of San Miguel, included in the Mudejar catalog as World Heritage, is a funerary chapel that surprises with its excellent color and its extraordinary alabaster tomb and a delicate gilded wood roof.
On the other hand, the visit will allow you to learn about the yesterday and today of San Bruno, and delve into the Boterón neighborhood; all this in the surroundings of the Plaza de La Seo, religious, economic and social center of Zaragoza for 2000 years.
