MICE activity strengthens in Zaragoza after the pandemic

Zaragoza Convention Bureau participated for the first time in the Healthcare edition of m&i forums. During the three days of the event, the CVB met with thirty companies and agencies specialized in this sector that showed their interest in Zaragoza and in the great variety of venues it offers. Zaragoza’s experience in this type of events was also highlighted since all Spanish societies in the health field have held their congresses in the city. Similarly, a very positive point was the possibility of being able to create personalized sustainability plans thanks to the Eventsost Key tool that ZCB pioneered a year ago in Spain.

Sustainability has always been a very important matter for Zaragoza CVB. It can be seen in its recent incorporation to the project "El Bosque de los Zaragozanos", recently created by the Zaragoza City Council, which will facilitate the plantation of 700,000 new trees in the city. With their participation, ZCB intends to continue being an advocate of sustainability in the events held in Zaragoza.

In recent weeks, Zaragoza CVB has also celebrated a new edition of #ZCBProfitClub. On this occasion, the event took part at the Zentral AVE hotel and had 30 participants among ZCB partners, invited companies, and those belonging to ZCB Corporativo. During the meeting and coffee break, attendees were able to establish new professional contacts and create synergies that strengthen the Zaragoza MICE sector.
On the other hand, ZCB was part of the SCB Meet Belgium webinar that the Spain Convention Bureau organized on October 21, which explored the current situation in the Belgian MICE market.

Besides, many face-to-face congresses have taken place in Zaragoza in recent weeks. One was the 43rd Congress of the Spanish Society of Primary Care Physicians (SEMERGEN), which attracted 3,017 professionals in what was the first major on-site congress in the health field to be held in Spain after the pandemic. Other events were those of the Spanish Society of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, the Spanish Society of Allergology and Clinical Immunology, with 1,500 delegates, the Meeting of Cities for Road Safety and Mobility organized by the Zaragoza City Council and the Spanish Directorate-General for Traffic (DGT), or the SEC21 Congress of Cardiovascular Health with 3,000 participants. The Zaragoza Exhibition Centre has also recovered its activity with events such as FIGAN, the 15th International Animal Production Fair attended by 50,000 people, or SPAPER 2021, the 2nd International Exhibition on Machinery and Equipment for Pulp, Paper and Cardboard, and SMAGUA, the 25th International Water and Irrigation Show, which hosted exhibitors from more than 30 countries, as FIGAN did.

Nowadays, Zaragoza CVB is closing the details of the two editions of Iberian MICE Forums that the city will host from November 10 to 12 and which will bring together more than a hundred professionals from the associative and corporate sectors in Spain. Also in November, ZCB will participate in the multi-market workshop that the SCB will organize in Tenerife, as well as in IBTM in Barcelona. At the local level, the Convention Bureau is working on a new profit edition, in a special visit with Anfitriones Zaragoza to the singular venue Viñedos Rhey that will include a cava tasting, and in the presentation to its partners, ZCB Corporativo and Anfitriones of the Zaragoza Film Office, a new project of the local City Council to attract filming projects to the city.
