The start of the new course has been a boost for local promotion in Zaragoza Convention Bureau. In September, ZCB has held two face-to-face meetings with their CVB partners and with the member companies of ZCB Corporativo respectively.

On September 15th, Zaragoza Convention Bureau brought together 33 companies at the Hiberus hotel in the 78th edition of their networking #ZCBProfitClub. ZCB partners, invited companies interested in being part of the CVB, and members of ZCB Corporativo attended the event. At the meeting, ZCB announced the promotional activities planned for the last months of the year and all the companies attending were able to publicize their news and projects.

On the other hand, on September 28th, Zaragoza CVB celebrated that more than 50 companies have joined ZCB Corporativo in just half a year. This project arose with the clear intention of strengthening the relationship of the Convention Bureau with local companies that are not directly linked to the MICE sector. In these months, 58 companies have supported this initiative and for this reason, ZCB summoned them to an event in the ancient mercantile club of the city and current headquarters of Caja Rural de Aragón. During the event, the advantages of ZCB Corporativo were explained, ZCB talked about sustainable events and Pablo Barrenechea from ECODES unveiled the new Bosque de los zaragozanos,a project promoted by the local City Council on which 700,000 trees will be planted in the city, one per inhabitant. After the meeting, attendees enjoyed a cocktail on the rooftop with views of Plaza de España.

In addition, September has meant the renaissance of face-to-face congresses in the Aragonese capital. In recent weeks, the European Light Rail Congress 2021 was held in Zaragoza, which attracted 200 European professionals from the tram sector and, currently, the 43rd Congress of the Spanish Society of Primary Care Physicians (SEMERGEN) is taking place. This event has attracted 3,000 delegates to the city, becoming the first major face-to-face medical congress celebrated in Spain after the pandemic. With more than 150 activities and with all the necessary health measures, such as the delivery of the ID and the COVID passport, it is estimated that this massive congress will leave 7 million euros in Zaragoza. The Zaragoza Exhibition Centre has also recovered its activity this month with the celebration of FIGAN, the 15th International Animal Production Fair, which brought together 50,000 visitors. Other relevant appointments are expected in the coming months, such as the 33rd SEAIC Congress of the Spanish Society of Allergology and Clinical Immunology, the SEC21 Congress of Cardiovascular Health or SETLA 2021, the National Congress of the Spanish Society of Occupational Traumatology, among others.

In October, Zaragoza CVB will participate in m&i Forums Healthcare, the edition of m&i exclusively focused on the healthcare sector, where the Aragonese capital will make it clear why all the medical Spanish associations have held their congress in the city at some point. At the local level, the Convention Bureau is also working on a new edition of #ZCBProfitClub and on an activity with Anfitriones Zaragoza in which ZCB will present a singular venue to these local professionals. Throughout the last quarter of 2021, ZCB will also participate in a multi-market workshop of the Spain Convention Bureau, in IBTM and, of course, in the editions with the associative and corporate markets of Iberian MICE Forums that will be host in Zaragoza from November 10th to 12th.

This way, ZCB continues to support events in the city while maintaining its promotion and working to continue being a benchmark MICE destination.
