Soto de Cantalobos

This is one of the few groves (or riverside woods) on the banks of the River Ebro, and is a remainder from the river's original vegetation along this stretch. It is very well preserved, despite the agricultural and building work carried out in its surrounding area. It features typical riverside species, poplars willows, ash and reeds. This rich eco-system also provides a home for numerous species of animals, such as, the Cetti`s warbler, the woodpecker, the penduline tit, the tawny owl and small mammals. The area  provides refuge and food for a number of migrating birds, including egrets, cormorants and waders.
