Canal Imperial de Aragón

The canon Ramón de Pignatelli, was entrusted by Carlos III to construct a great navigable waterway to link the Cantabrian and Mediterranean seas. It was an enormous project for that time, stretching some 150 kilometres from the Bocal, near Tudela (Navarra) to the Burgo de Ebro close to Zaragoza.
