The park was inaugurated by, and named after, Miguel Primo de Rivera, although it is commonly known as the Parque Grande ("Big Park"). One can enjoy its numerous and varied spaces, such as San Sebastián avenue, which lined with a succession of ornamental fountains, the Botanic Garden or Goya¿s Corner, amongst others. In pride of place stands the monument to Alfonso I, "El Batallador", who conquered Zaragoza in 1118.
