Acuario de Zaragoza

The largest river aquarium in Europe, with a gross floor area of 8,000 m2, of which 3,400 m2 are used for exhibition space, housing the aquariums and terrariums. There are more than 4,000 animals of over 350 species, representing river fauna from five of the planet’s greatest rivers: the Nile, Mekong, Amazon, Murray-Darling and Ebro. There is also a central tank which represents the Mundo River, inhabited by one of the most important collections of Arapaima gigas in the world. 

Nuevo Acuario de Zaragoza offers visitors an incredible intercontinental journey along the banks of major river spaces, exploring their typical habitats. With advance reservations, groups can also enjoy different scheduled activities with our experienced guides and aquatic experts in this large leisure, educational and environmental space. Options include guided tours, themed activities, workshops, birthday celebrations with gymkhana and even diving in the central tank. 

There is a restaurant located on the third floor of the building, in the centre of the Ciudad de la Justicia (Justice Complex), with a capacity of 150, as well as outdoor seating for 300. On the ground floor, there is an auditorium equipped with the latest audiovisual technology which seats 120 people.
