Wier river Ebro
The weir is located between the barrios of Vadorrey and Las Fuentes, at the height of the street Fray Luis Urbano, and between the bridges of the Union and Giménez Abad (Third Ring Road), which facilitates access to this new infrastructure in both private car and by public transportation or bicycle, as the parks that are located on both sides have a bike lane to the foot of the dam.
In your environment, is the Port River, the main landing navigation system of the Ebro, and the reservation of space to build in the near future, a service building and a large sports equipment, the latter for public use and management Private.
Built with technical and environmental criteria of the century, the weir is designed so that when the river flow exceeds the 515 cubic meters per second (twice the average annual flow of the Ebro), the gates are automatically lowered to allow water runs smoothly and if you raise the elevation of the water surface, so that this infrastructure will have no impact on ordinary streets, and no effect on the possible flooding of basements of adjacent areas already producing before construction of the weir.
