Restaurants with a Michelin Star- La Prensa

The La Prensa restaurant was opened in 1970 by its current owner, David Perez, with the vocation of selling bulk wine. It gradually changed to include a bar to taste the wines and then a dining room was added that served homemade food. Marisa Barberan, current head of kitchen, joined the team in 1985, and with her the business was innovated, gastronomically speaking. In 1990 they opened a new room to provide an à la carte service and in 2000 the bar was closed, thus placing emphasis on the restaurant.
In November 2012, La Prensa obtained its first Michelin star and in 2014 a Repsol Sun. Marisa Barberan prepares modern dishes with a traditional base, delicately presented, combining flavours, textures, temperatures and colours.
