Palacio de Fuenclara

Today this large building today looks onto three streets, although it originally overlooked all four adjacent streets; the main façade, which has been significantly modified, is made from facing brick and has four floors finished off by the eave. The viewing point, with its large post and lintel windows, is crowned by a projected lobed eave.
The entrance hall features an outstanding 16th century decorated ceiling, and leads into the 17th century courtyard on the upper floor that has seen numerous modifications. The lower floor has retained its structure based on four, Tuscan order-ringed columns and a step with decorated "cuenca" or arris tiles, also known as "set square" tiles. The staircase is finished off at the top by a Tuscan order series of arches and covered by a spectacular vault with radial lunettes which features a hanging pendant with carved rosette detail
Given the formal characteristics of its austere façade; well elevated, very opaque and free from elaboration, it probably originally dates from the last third of the 15th century before being restored in the 16th and 17th centuries.
