Where to go out at night in Zaragoza

  • EL ROYO

This area is located by the Paseo de Sagasta, in Calle Moncasi and the surrounding streets. It features Spanish music, rock, heavy, punk and an informal atmosphere. Places normally remain open until around 3 in the morning.

  • DOCTOR CERRADA

This area is home to atmospheric venues, bars and salsa clubs, and offers live music.

  • LA ZONA

Occupies the quadrilateral of streets formed by the Paseo Damas, Paseo Constitución, Cesáreo Alierta and Camino de las Torres. It houses chilled-out, well-decorated bars where you can have a drink to get the night started, as well as the most modern, fashionable pubs in the city.

  • ALTERNATIVE AREAS

These two areas, Calle La Paz and surroundings and Calle María Moliner and San Juan de la Cruz, are located very close to one another. Here you can enjoy alternative-style venues that rock all night to the sound of indie music. Particularly noteworthy is the permanent line-up of live gigs at some of the bars.

  • EL CASCO

Situated between the Plaza San Felipe and Justicia, in the heart of the Old Town. The area is full of small bars that have become classic nightlife haunts in the city, as well as a range of fresh new bars and clubs. The music varies significantly from one bar to the next ? you can enjoy everything from 60s Spanish music to the freshest house hits.

  • BRETÓN

Situated near the university campus, this area is characterised by its large variety of bars and cafés, which offer a chilled-out atmosphere.

This area, adjacent to Bretón, is the smallest in Zaragoza but also the most distinctive, owing to the look and atmosphere of its venues.

  • ZUMA

Situated in Calle Zumalacárregui, it is dominated by rock venues.

  • LA MAGDALENA

Lying around the Plaza de la Magdalena and its church, this is a must for fans of reggae or those who simply like a more alternative, independent atmosphere.

  • THE BANKS OF THE EBRO
