The city

Zaragoza is a modern, welcoming city whose more than 600,000 inhabitants make it one of the biggest cities in Spain. The personality of its inhabitants will ensure that a visit to this city will be an unforgettable experience. The city is located roughly 300 km from Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Bilbao.

Communications
As far as communications are concerned, the city has an airport, which has recently been expanded, lying 9 km from the centre, with connections to various Spanish and European cities. There are regular buses to the centre, as well as a permanent taxi service.
Accommodation
Zaragoza has a superb selection of hotels, with currently over 6,000 hotel rooms, in traditional as well as modern premises.
Restaurants
Zaragoza is a city that boasts a highly professional and competitive restaurant selection . There is a wide variety catering for every need, from fast food restaurants to French-inspired haute cuisine, not forgetting sea food, vegetarian restaurants, pizzerias, as well as regional cooking from all over Spain, Europe, South America or more exotic locations. This quality selection is complemented by our minicuisine, tapas , one of the passions of the Zaragoza inhabitants which is quickly adopted by visitors.

Meal times are usually around 1.30 to 4 pm for lunch and 9 to 11.30 pm for dinner.

Opening hours for shops in Zaragoza is Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 2 pm and 5 to 8 pm, and the malls are open from 10 am to 8 pm Monday to Saturday. Leisure areas and cafeterias in the malls are open on Sundays..
