It provides details on the various types of aquaculture, the value of aquaculture as a means of livelihood diversification and business opportunity and the importance of careful planning. The module intends to provide flexible guidance to facilitators that can be adapted according to specific socio-economic and cultural contexts and the needs of each target group and country where it is used. This is a Junior Farm Field and Life Schools (JFFLS) module and complements other JFFLS modules, in particular Capture fisheries and Postharvest to produce enhanced economic opportunities.
